PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We have implemented stringent security measures to safeguard your personal information:

Secure Storage:

Your personal information is stored in secure databases with access restricted to authorized personnel only. Data centers hosting our databases maintain physical security controls, including surveillance and access restrictions, to protect against unauthorized access.

Network Security:

Robust network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and regular security audits, are employed to prevent unauthorized access and ensure data integrity. Ongoing monitoring of network traffic helps detect and respond to potential security threats promptly.

Encryption Standards:

We prioritize industry-leading encryption technologies, such as AES-256 encryption for data at rest and Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols for data in transit, to protect information exchanged between users and our platform. Encryption ensures that sensitive data remains unreadable to unauthorized parties, mitigating risks associated with data interception.

Access Management:

Access to personal information is strictly controlled and granted based on the principle of least privilege. Employees and healthcare providers affiliated with Praxis Telemed Mobile application receive access only to the information necessary for their roles, enhancing data security and confidentiality.

User Authentication:

Rigorous user authentication protocols, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), are enforced to secure access to membership plans and sensitive areas of our platform. Strong password policies and regular credential audits help mitigate risks associated with unauthorized account access.

Backup and Recovery Procedures:

Regular data backups are performed to secure offsite locations to ensure data availability in the event of hardware failures, natural disasters, or other emergencies. Backup integrity checks and encryption protocols are implemented to protect data during storage and transmission between backup sites.

End-to-End Encryption:

For sensitive interactions, such as medical consultations and file transfers, we employ end-to-end encryption (E2EE) technologies. E2EE ensures that data exchanged between users and healthcare providers remains confidential and inaccessible to unauthorized parties throughout the communication process.

Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS):

Our platform uses HTTPS to secure communications between your device and our servers. HTTPS encrypts data transmitted between users and our platform, preventing eavesdropping and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data during transmission. By enforcing HTTPS, we protect user information from interception by malicious third parties and enhance trust in the security of our platform.

9. EV Code Signing Certificate:

We utilize an Extended Validation (EV) Code Signing Certificate for digitally signing executable files and software updates distributed through our platform. An EV Code Signing Certificate provides enhanced assurance of the authenticity and integrity of our software, verifying that it has not been tampered with or altered since it was signed. This certificate helps mitigate the risk of users downloading compromised or malicious software, ensuring a secure and trusted software distribution process.

Encryption and Anonymization:

We adhere to the highest standards of encryption and anonymization technologies to protect your personal data, including images and files shared on our platform. These measures ensure that sensitive information remains confidential and secure throughout transmission and storage. Our encryption protocols comply with industry best practices, utilizing TLS technologies for secure data transit. Additionally, robust anonymization techniques are employed to protect user identities and prevent personal information from being traced back to individuals. These measures are designed to maintain the integrity and functionality of our services while upholding the highest levels of data security.

RISK MITIGATION AND INCIDENT RESPONSE

While we take every reasonable precaution to protect your personal information, it's important to note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is entirely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your personal information transmitted to our platform. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not liable for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures on the platform. Although we have implemented robust measures to prevent data breaches, we maintain a comprehensive incident response plan (IRP) to address any security incidents promptly. This includes assessing the scope of the breach, notifying affected users, taking remedial actions, and complying with according to applicable laws and regulations by notifying relevant authorities.

RECORD KEEPING AND RETENTION

Your personal information is protected and stored in confidential and secure databases. We will use, disclose, or retain it for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and as long as permitted or required by law.

When personal information is no longer necessary or relevant for our identified purposes or required by law, we will take steps to have it deleted, destroyed, erased, or made anonymous.

RIGHT TO WITHDRAW CONSENT

You may withdraw your consent to the use or disclosure of your personal information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. To withdraw your consent, you may contact us as set out below. Please be aware that the withdrawal of your consent may affect our ability to provide you with services and may result in the termination of your access to the platform.

UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION

We aim to ensure that your personal information is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. If you believe your personal information is inaccurate or incomplete, you have the right to request a correction. Please notify us of any change to your personal information as soon as possible so that we may update our records.
